Too many people are still afraid of those living with HIV. Unlike influenza or chickenpox, HIV does not survive in the air, nor does it survive in water. Daily activities pose no risk of transmission. Don't believe the myths. prejudice hurts.
Drug awareness week

The theme of « C'mon, let's talk » is meant to encourage young people and adults to talk and break the silence that affects many people whether or not they experience problematic drug use. Speaking frankly is often a first step in the right direction in helping young people make informed decisions.

Influenza is not a game
Vaccination campaign
To educate people about the importance of vaccination as a means of protection against seasonal influenza (the flu), the MSSS is launching its vaccination information campaign under the theme « Influenza is not a game ». Simple things such as washing your hands and following cough etiquette can help prevent the transmission of the disease. Check whether you are eligible for a free flu shot.

Significant progress on the issue of the wait for surgery has been made since 2003 as the result of a coherent set of legislative, organizational, clinical, and budgetary decisions. With a view to reducing the waiting times yet again for these priority services, greater efforts will be committed in many regions across the province to further improve access to specialized medical services.
