![]() KEEPING YOU INFORMED...May , 2006 Some DSP customers may be receiving Cancellation notices. These notices are sent when we are unable to fulfill customer backorders and/or when a mailing list service is cancelled. When a customer requests a publication from the Weekly Checklist that is no longer available, the customer is placed on backorder for the item. Regrettably, backorders cannot always be fulfilled; if this is the case, you will receive a Cancellation Notice advising you that your order cannot be filled. Should you still wish to have a copy of the cancelled item, we urge you to communicate directly with the department responsible for the publication you requested. As you are aware, depository libraries may subscribe to mailing list services through the DSP. From time to time, mailing list services are stopped by the responsible Government of Canada agencies. Should this occur, customers subscribed to the affected title will receive a cancellation notice advising them that this service has been cancelled. Libraries who choose to cancel their mailing list subscriptions will also receive a Cancellation Notice confirming that their request has been met.
