Travelling Abroad

Travelling abroad
All countries have their own unique laws

Each country has its own laws regarding drugs and some of them are much more severe than what we have in Canada. Being Canadian doesn't exempt you from those local laws. If you break the law in another country, you are subject to that country's judicial system and if you possess marijuana while travelling, you could end up paying a stiff fine, spending time in jail or possibly even facing the death penalty.

Thousands of Canadians are in jail abroad and many of them are there because of drug-related offences. If you do nevertheless intend to use or possess marijuana or any other drugs when you travel, then you should familiarize yourself with the potential consequences in foreign countries before you go.
