The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking applicants for Communicator/Operator positions. CSIS is seeking dependable team players with initiative to assume the following core functions:

• operating a variety of data communications equipment;
• responding to telephone inquiries from the client community.

The incumbent will be working in a 24/5 shift work environment. Successful applicants will have problem recognition, analysis and resolution skills, good organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

Applicants must have at least a one (1) year Community College Diploma.

Preference will be given to candidates with formal training and/or experience in the telecommunications/informatics field.

Experience working in a telecommunications environment using fascimile devices and personal computers.

Experience in customer relations and client services.

Canadian citizens residing in Canada.

Candidates must have no criminal record, be drug free and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. This process involves a security interview, a background investigation that includes credit and financial verifications as well as a polygraph examination.

Bilingual imperative (B/B/B)

$42,560 to $53,180 per year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Six (6) month term with possibility of extension or permanent position.
