The Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) is seeking professional Security Screening Investigators with excellent interpersonal and communications skills to work as members of an investigative team.

• Conduct public sector, government security screening investigations for the purpose of granting security clearances.
  
• Initiate/conduct subject interviews for the purpose of clarifying potential security concerns and the individual’s bona fides as it concerns his/her ability to obtain or maintain a valid security clearance and/or immigration status.
  
• Manage assigned workload in order to meet deadlines.
  
• Write clear and concise reports on the results of all inquiries.

Possess an undergraduate degree and two (2) years related experience; OR Community College Certificate (3 years) and three (3) years related experience; OR Community College Certificate (2 years) and four (4) years related experience; OR Community College Certificate (1 year) and five (5) years related experience.

Experience in providing service to the public or other fields where the candidate has an opportunity to conduct interviews/inquiries.

Experience in using various computer programs.

A valid Canadian driver’s license. (Minimum two (2) years experience in driving a motor vehicle).

Canadian citizens residing in Canada.

Candidates must have no criminal record, be drug free and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance. This process involves a security interview, a background investigation that includes credit and financial verifications as well as a polygraph examination.

Bilingual imperative (C/B/C)

$54,810 to $68,490 per year. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

CSIS National Headquarters, Ottawa, Ontario

Six (6) month term with possibility of extension or contract position.
