Canada's National Response to the UN Questionnaire on Implementation of the Beijing Platform for Action
(June 2000) In June 2000, the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) convened a special session to review and assess progress achieved in implementing the Beijing Platform for Action (PFA), five years after its inception. As part of the review and appraisal process, the General Assembly requested the Secretary General to prepare a standardized questionnaire to be used as a framework to identify and assess regional and international trends and best practices in implementing the PFA.
