End of the Web Development Certificate Program

The Institute has decided to end its Web Development Certificate to answer changing requirements within the public sector. The demand for this program is insufficient, therefore we cannot offer the certificate at a price that optimizes public funds and that advantages students. If you wish to know more about it, please consult the following links:

Context

Over the last few months, The Institute has reviewed the relevance of its programs and the demand in terms of public servants needs. As a result, we noted that the demand for our Web Development Certificate Program, in its present form, was not strong enough. The Institute's mandate is to provide courses to students at prices that optimize the use of public funds; hence, offering the Web Development Certificate does not seem to be advantageous for our clients anymore.

Consequently, we have decided to terminate the Program over the next months. This change will allow us to focus on other courses and seminars that will be beneficial for the public servants and that will respond more adequately to their needs.

Since Web Development knowledge and skills remain a top priority across the Government of Canada and that the current Program is a valuable credential, we thought we could offer each course one last time in order to give the students the chance to complete their Certificate. However, after following-up with the students, we realized that the interest or the budget for completing the certificate were not sufficient enough for us to offer all courses. This is why we decided to offer only 3 courses of the program one last time during the upcoming months. These courses are those for which we had the biggest demand.

Please contact us if you have questions or queries, because your satisfaction is our priority.

Best regards,

Sylvie Chagnon
Manager, The Institute

Why (are we eliminating our Web Development Certificate? Why are we offering only 3 courses during the next year?)

Low demand is the basis of our decision to end the Web Development Certificate Program. Our objective is to always present the lowest prices to public servants to optimize public funds. This objective cannot be met given the insufficient demand for the program. Also, due to the low interest in completing the certificate, the lack of budget and the change of public servants' needs, we decided to offer only 3 courses of the program one last time during the upcoming months. These 3 courses are those for which we received the most demand.
