What is new/changed?

Technical amendment to Commissioner's Directive 566-8 - Searching of Staff and Visitors.

Why was the policy changed?

An error appears in the French text, which varies from the language used in the CCRA.

What is the purpose of the change?

To ensure that the policy is consistent with the CCRA, the following technical amendment has been made:

• In paragraph 10 d, the French version incorrectly required that staff believe on reasonable grounds, that the visitor is carrying contraband or other evidence relating to an offence when it should have read suspect. The English text remains correct.
