What is new/changed?

CD 566-9 has been amended to clarify the requirement to conduct thorough visual inspections in CCCs every thirty days, as part of the CCC search plan.

The policy changes were developed in consultation with the regions and Legal Services

CSC staff involved in searching of staff, visitors, inmates and all areas of an institution as well as CSC staff and contractors conducting thorough visual inspections in CCCs.

Who will be affected by the policy?

CCC contractors and staff involved in thorough visual inspections of all inmate-accessible areas of the CCC.
