Name: Alfred PALMER and Dolores PALMER Location: Near Medicine Hat, Alberta Details: Dolores PALMER, a 35 year old female, and Alfred PALMER, a 71 year old male both lived on a dairy farm west of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Dolores lived in a separate house with her husband and was the daughter-in-law to Alfred.
Alfred PALMER farmed all his life, was a very community minded individual and at one time was a Councillor with the Municipal District of Cypress.
Dolores PALMER worked on the dairy farm, but also had a part time job as an assistant teacher with the Seven Persons Early Childhood Services School.
On December 30, 1990 both Dolores and Alfred were found at the rear entrance to the farmhouse, having been shot with a .410 shotgun. Dolores was pronounced dead at the scene while Alfred was airlifted to Calgary, Alberta. Alfred died at the hospital the following day.
