$1M to Fund Research and Outreach Projects

Ten projects have been chosen for funding from the second call for proposals under Infrastructure Canada's Knowledge-building, Outreach and Awareness (KOA) program. Contribution agreements are now in place with the proponents of these projects and will result in an investment by the department of approximately $1M over two years in strengthening understanding about current and future infrastructure and communities issues that matter to Canadians.

The second call for proposals under the KOA program was issued in September 2005. Over 120 proposals were received. All incoming proposals were evaluated against the selection criteria for the program through a merit-based competitive process.
