SUBJECT: Record of Employment: Revenue Canada - Business Numbers

PURPOSE
|

1.1
|
The purpose of this directive is to provide Departments with a list of Revenue
Canada Business Numbers that should be used when completing and ordering the
Record of Employment (ROE) forms.
|
|

CANCELLATION
|
|
2.1
|
This directive cancels and supersedes Services Pay Directive 1992-068(27) dated
July 28, 1992.
|

BACKGROUND
|
|
3.1
|
Effective January 1, 1997, Revenue Canada will convert all remittance account
numbers to Business Numbers.
|
|
4
|
PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
|
|
4.1
|
The attached Annex "A" identifies the applicable Business Numbers by
Pay Office location and by "no-wage loss" and "wage loss".
|
|
4.2
|
Departments are required to identify the Business Number(s) of their pay
office(s) when ordering ROE forms from the Department of Human Resources
Development Canada.
|
|
4.3
|
In addition, departments are required to identify the appropriate Business
Number on the ROE according to the employee's pay office and employment status
(i.e. no-wage loss or wage loss).
|
|
4.4
|
Departments are to use the attached Business Numbers to order and complete the
ROE forms for employees paid through the Regional Pay System only. These
Business Numbers are not to be used by departments for any other
purpose.
