Information Notice to Employees

SUBJECT: Civil Service Co-operative Credit Society, Limited

PURPOSE

 

1.1

The purpose of this directive is to provide you with information concerning a change in the process used to commence, amend and stop a Civil Service Co-operative Credit Society, Limited (CS CO-OP) payroll deductions in the Regional Pay System.

 

1.2

In this text, use of the masculine is generic and applies to both men and women.

CANCELLATION

 

2.1

This directive supersedes Compensation Directive 1994-028 dated July 14, 1994.

BACKGROUND

 

3.1

Presently, departments are responsible for the processing of all new CS CO-OP payroll deductions and the pay offices are responsible for the processing of CS CO-OP payroll deduction forms (i.e. amending, stopping and recommencing payroll deductions only).

PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS

 

4.1

As of the month of September 2003, departments will be responsible for the processing of all CS CO-OP payroll deductions.

 

4.2

Upon receipt of the CS CO-OP payroll deduction form 102, the compensation advisor will commence, amend or stop the deduction in the pay system by following the procedure that can be found in sections 4-4-16-3, 4-4-16-4, 9-5-4, 14-5-1, 14-5-2, and 14-5-3 of the Personnel-Pay Input Manual (PPIM). Please note that the effective date of commencement will be completed by the CS CO-OP in Box 63 of the payroll deduction form. Care should be taken to ensure that these payroll deductions are processed in the applicable pay period.
