PURPOSE |

The purpose of this directive is to inform compensation advisors of the Geographic Location Codes update.

POLICY |

2.1 |
The Geographic Location Codes were supplied by Statistics Canada as a result of the Canadian census conducted in 2001.

PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS |

3.1 |
The Geographic Location Codes will be updated in the Regional Pay System on August 10, 2006, to reflect any changes to the codes as required. The Geographic Location Codes resulting from the 2001 census can be viewed on the Statistics Canada Web site at the following address: http://www.statcan.ca/english/Subjects/Standard/
