Implementation of the Pension Support System |

PURPOSE |
| |
1.1 |
The purpose of this Advice is to announce the implementation of the Pension Support System effective October 21, 1996. |

PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS |
| |
2.1 |
The Pension Support System is replacing the Pension Quotation application. In addition to the functions performed by the previous application, the Pension Support System will provide the facility to amend Leave Without Pay and Generated Service records for pension estimation purposes. |

2.2 |
The new application is similar to the previous Pension Quotation application. However, formal training will be provided by PWGSC Training Officers. Crown Corporations are to contact the appropriate Regional Training Centre for more information. |

2.3 |
During the weekend of October 19, 1996, all on-line users who currently have access to Pension Quotation will automatically be assigned to the Pension Support System. At that time access to Pension Quotation will be automatically removed. |
