SUPERANNUATION ADMINISTRATION MANUAL
SPECIAL BULLETIN: 2004-005

PURPOSE

1.1

The purpose of this bulletin is to advise client departments and agencies that the official name of the Superannuation Directorate, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has changed to "Superannuation, Pension Transition and Client Services Sector".

1.2

In this text, use of the masculine is generic and applies to both men and women.

PROCEDURES

2.1

Effective immediately, client departments and agencies are to use the new name in all communication and correspondence.

2.2

Please note that it will take several months to update the forms to reflect this change. Meanwhile, compensation advisors should continue to use the existing forms.

2.3

The Superannuation Administration Manual (SAM) will gradually be updated with the new name.

2.4

Pension counsellors at the Superannuation, Pension Transition and Client Services Sector will continue to use "Superannuation / Pensions de retraite" in their telephone greeting.
