SUBJECT: Student Employment Programs

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a letter of authority for unrepresented employees under the student employment programs.


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational groups are affected by this letter of authority:

Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) - High School Students 99815
FSWEP - College Students 99821
FSWEP - University Students 99822
FSWEP - University Students - Master Program 99823
FSWEP - University Students - Doctorate Program 99824
Co-op/Internship Program - College Students 99825
Co-op/Internship Program - University Students 99826
Co-op/Internship Program - University Students - Master Program 99827
Co-op/Internship Program - University Students - Doctorate Program 99828


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This letter of authority was signed on December 23, 2005, and will expire on December 31, 2006.
  3.2 This letter of authority provides for salary increases retroactive to January 1, 2006, for these groups.


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the revised rates of pay on January 26, 2006.
  4.2 Please note that compensation advisors will be responsible for processing all retroactivity for employees in these groups.
