PAY RATE IMPLEMENTATION
BULLETIN: 2006-006

SUBJECT: Architecture, Engineering and Land Survey Group
Employer - Treasury Board

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a new collective agreement for employees in the Architecture, Engineering and Land Survey (NR) Group.


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational subgroups are affected by this collective agreement:

Subgroups Bargaining Unit
Designator (BUD) Codes
Architecture and Town Planning (AR) 20300
Engineering (EN-ENG) 21001
Land Survey (EN-SUR) 21002


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This collective agreement was signed on January 26, 2006, and will expire on September 30, 2007. The Public Service Labor Relations Act (PSLRA) requires that collective agreements be implemented within 90 calendar days from the date of their signature. Consequently, employees in the NR group shall receive all pay adjustments by April 26, 2006.
  3.2 This collective agreement provides for salary increases for the NR group retroactive to October 1, 2005.


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the revised rates of pay on February 16, 2006. The Regional Pay System (RPS) will automatically process revision payments on February 20, 2006. Please note that compensation advisors will be responsible for processing all retroactivity for employees with rates within a minimum and maximum range.
  4.2 The automated Extra Duty Pay process will be used for employees in this group on February 20, 2006.
| 4.3 The Terminable Allowance (code 251), effective October 1, 2005, will automatically be updated on February 24, 2006, for all eligible employees in this group.
