PAY RATE IMPLEMENTATION
BULLETIN: 2006-018

SUBJECT: Excluded and Unrepresented Employees in the Administrative Service (AS), Information Services (IS), Programme Administration (PM), Welfare Programmes (WP), Education (ED), Library Science (LS), Primary Products Inspection (PI), and Firefighters (FR) Groups

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a letter of authority for excluded and unrepresented employees in the AS, IS, PM, WP, ED, LS, PI and FR groups.


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational groups are affected by this letter of authority:

Primary Products Inpsection (PI 07) 40800
Primary Products Inspection - CGC Grain Inspection Subgroups (PI-CGC 07 and PI-CGC 08) 40801
Firefighters (FR 07 and FR 08) 60200


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This letter of authority was signed on March 14, 2005, for the excluded AS, IS, PM, WP, ED, LS, and PI groups, and on March 22, 2005, for the excluded FR group.
    This letter of authority will expire on June 20, 2007, for the AS, IS, PM and WP groups, on June 30, 2007, for the ED and LS groups, on June 21, 2007, for the PI group, and on August 4, 2007, for the FR group.
  3.2 This letter of authority provides for salary increases effective on the following dates.
    For the AS 07, AS 08, IS 06, PM-MCO 00, and WP 07 groups:
   
  • June 21, 2006
    For the ED-EDS 06, ED-LAT 03, and LS 05 groups:
   
  • July 1, 2006
    For the PI 07, PI-CGC 07, and PI-CGC 08 groups:
   
  • June 22, 2006
    For the FR 07 and FR 08 groups:
   
  • August 5, 2006


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) was updated with the revised rates of pay on May 5, 2005. Please note that compensation advisors will be responsible for updating the permanent line for all the employees in these groups.
