PAY RATE IMPLEMENTATION
BULLETIN: 2006-032

June 29, 2006

SUBJECT: Operational Services (SV) Group
Employer - Treasury Board

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning the collective agreement for employees in the Operational Services (SV) Group.


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational groups are affected by this new collective agreement:

Firefighters (FR) -- Supervisory 652
General Services (GS) -- Non-supervisory 604
General Services (GS) -- Supervisory 654
Heating, Power and Stationary Plant Operations (HP) -- Non-supervisory 605
Heating, Power and Stationary Plant Operations (HP) -- Supervisory 655
Lightkeepers (LI) -- Non-supervisory 607
Lightkeepers (LI) -- Supervisory 657
Ships Crew (SC) -- Non-supervisory 612
Ships Crew (SC) -- Supervisory 662
Printing Operations (PR) -- Supervisory 659
General Labour and Trades (GL) -- Non-supervisory 603
General Labour and Trades (GL) -- Supervisory 653
Hospital Services (HS) -- Non-supervisory 606
Hospital Services (HS) -- Supervisory 656


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This collective agreement was signed on March 22, 2005, and will expire on August 4, 2007.
  3.2 This collective agreement provides for salary increases effective August 5, 2006.


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) has been updated with the revised rates of pay for this group.
    The Regional Pay System (RPS) will automatically update the permanent line on July 24, 2006, for 7C pay accounts, and on August 8, 2006, for 7A and 7B pay accounts, for employees under BUDs 602, 652, 603, 653, 604, 654, 605, 655, 606, 656, 607 and 612.
  4.2 Compensation advisors will be responsible for processing the permanent line update for the following groups:

  • LI -- Supervisory, BUD 657
  • PR -- BUD 659
  • SC -- Supervisory , BUD 662
