PAY RATE IMPLEMENTATION
BULLETIN: 2006-038

SUBJECT: Translation Group
Employer - Treasury Board

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a new collective agreement for employees in the Translation (TR) Group.


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational group is affected by this new collective agreement:

Group Bargaining Unit Designator (BUD) Code
Translation (TR) 31300


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This collective agreement was signed on June 29, 2006, and will expire on April 18, 2007. The Public Service Labour Relations Act (PSLRA) requires that collective agreements be implemented within 90 calendar days after the date of their signature. Consequently, employees in the TR group shall receive all pay adjustments by September 26, 2006.
  3.2 This collective agreement provides for salary increases retroactive to the following dates:

  • April 19, 2005
  • April 19, 2006


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the revised rates of pay on August 3, 2006. The Regional Pay System (RPS) will automatically process revision payments on August 8, 2006.
  4.2 The automated Extra Duty Pay (EDP) process will be used for this group on August 8, 2006.
