PAY RATE IMPLEMENTATION
BULLETIN: 2006-043

August 1, 2006

SUBJECT: Computer Systems Group
Employer - Treasury Board

  1 PURPOSE
  1.1 The purpose of this bulletin is to provide you with information concerning a new collective agreement for the Computer Systems Group (CS).


  2 BACKGROUND
  2.1 The following occupational group is affected by this new collective agreement:

Group Bargaining Unit Designator (BUD) Code
Computer Systems (CS) 30300


  3 POLICY
  3.1 This collective agreement was signed on July 24, 2006, and will expire on December 21, 2007. The Public Service Labor Relations Act (PSLRA) requires that collective agreements be implemented within 90 calendar days after the date of their signature. Consequently, employees in the CS Group shall receive all pay adjustments by October 22, 2006.
  3.2 This collective agreement provides for salary increases retroactive to the following dates:

  • December 22, 2004
  • December 22, 2005
  3.3 This collective agreement provides for a signing bonus in the amount of $300, payable to all employees in the CS group (BUD 30300) on July 24, 2006.


  4 PROCEDURES/INSTRUCTIONS
  4.1 The Pay Rate Control File (PRCF) will be updated with the revised rates of pay on August 17, 2006. The Regional Pay System (RPS) will automatically process revision payments on August 21, 2006.
  4.2 The automated Extra Duty Pay process will be used for this group on August 21, 2006.
  4.3 The RPS will automatically process the signing bonus payment on August 21, 2006 for this group, using Entitlement code 360. A compensation directive will follow.
