PSS 1-1

Section: GENERAL

Subsection: INTRODUCTION

PURPOSE
This manual may be used as a training guide for personnel newly assigned to using the Pension Support System (PSS), the PWGSC-TPSGC 2020 (Salary Service Information - Pension Support System), and the PWGSC-TPSGC 2386 (Certification Notice - Pension Support System).

Note: For Personnel Offices, who do not have access to the PSS, this manual will be used as a training guide for the completion of the PWGSC-TPSGC 2020 and PWGSC-TPSGC 2386.

ENTRY OF INFORMATION
Please hand print all entries, using a black ball-point pen or fine point felt marker, ensuring that information being entered is legible to permit accurate data entry.

Note: Those who have access to the ELF System may complete the forms electronically.

DEFINITIONS
Alpha, when used to describe a field, indicates that only letters are to be used in the field (A to Z).
Numeric, when used to describe a field, indicates that only numerals are to be used in the field (0 to 9).
Alphanumeric, when used to describe a field, indicates that the field can be entirely alpha, entirely numeric or a combination of both.
