Quiz. Are you at risk?

The following quiz will help you to determine whether or not you are at risk of type 2 diabetes:

Yes  No  Question
  Are you 45 years of age or older?
  Do you have a parent, brother or sister with diabetes?
  Has your health care provider suggested that you lose weight (this is key particularly if you carry most of your weight around the middle)?
  Are you physically inactive (i.e. work out less than 3 times per week for at least 30 minutes per day)?
  Are you of Aboriginal, African, Hispanic or Asian descent?
  Are you the mother of a child who was over 4 kg (9 lbs.) at birth?
  Do you experience frequent urination and/or excessive thirst?
