The accounting month end process has been modified and effective
December 1998, the accounting month will be determined by the payment issue
date. Each month, with the exception of December and March, the accounting
month will close on the second last business day. Supplementary payments
issued between the second last day and the last day of the month will be
post dated to the first business day of the next month. In December, the
calendar year end close off schedule will determine the accounting month
close off, and in March the fiscal year and period 12 close off will be
March 29th. This change applies to both Financial Information Strategy (FIS)
and Non-FIS clients.
