What we do

The Specialized Services Division (SSD) of the Pension Services Directorate performs a number of pension administration services related to benefits payable under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and related legislations.

The SSD:

• issues pension payments to approximately 105,000 retired ex members of the Canadian Forces or their survivors
• performs pension administration activities
• responds to telephone and written inquiries
• withholds at source, and performs remittance functions for voluntary and compulsory deductions
• fulfills accounting and balancing functions
• maintains the systems required to perform its tasks
