When the work is finished in 2019, the East Block will house 44 Senate office units, 6 committee rooms, several museum rooms, and support services. Confederation Building In Phase 4 of the Long-Term Vision and Plan, the Confederation Building, which currently houses 165 offices for parliamentarians, will undergo a complete renovation. In addition to building system upgrades, office layout and support systems will be modernized. When the work is complete in 2020, the building will house 130 office units, a branch of the Library of Parliament, and various support operations.
