Why was this developed?
The IT Community has identified a requirement for greater project management
knowledge and skills for persons responsible for undertaking capital projects in
the federal public service. While many project management training courses and
programs are offered, finding information about them can be difficult and time
consuming. This search list is an efficient tool to assist public servants
interested in increasing their knowledge and skills in the project management
field.
How can this list help me?
This searchable Database provides information to help you select
programs or courses that meet your needs. The list includes information on
workshops and seminars, boot camps (intense quick studies), certificates,
diplomas and degree programs. Any institution offering programs or courses based
on the PMBOK® Guide may include their course offerings in this list.
What is the goal of this course search list?
This list contributes to a standarization of project management knowledge and
practice across the federal public services.
Does the government endorse these courses?
This site provides links to information provided by institutions or other
training providers. The government is not responsible for the information
supplied by these institutions, nor do we endorse or recommend any particular
institution or training provider.

What is the PMBOK® Guide?
The PMBOK® Guide, short for A Guide to the Project Management Body
of Knowledge,
describes the sum of knowledge within the profession of project management. This full body of
knowledge includes knowledge of proven, traditional practices, which are

Which institutions can post information in this list?
Any institution that offers programs and courses that comply with the PMBOK®
Guide standard can post course descriptions on the Project Management
Training Course List.
How can an institute submit information?
Institutions that offer programs and courses that comply with the PMBOK®
Guide standard can submit information by clicking on administration
on the side bar and follow instructions for first time user.
How long does it take to fill out the submission forms?
To fill out the forms will take approximately:
How long will it take for the information to be approved and posted on the
Web site?
Generally the information will be posted within 3 business days.
Can I update listings if the information changes?
The database administrator will provide each institution's main contact
with a user ID and a unique password to allow them to access the list to make
updates online.
What maintenance is required?
To ensure the information is always current, institutions are required to
confirm or re-submit information al least two times a year and to update it as
information changes. Any information that is not confirmed or reviewed by the
expiry date will be removed from the list.
