ALLERGY ALERT
UNDECLARED MILK IN MOLASSES COOKIES
(BISCUITS À LA MÉLASSE)
SHERBROOKE, QUÉBEC, November 2, 1999 - Pâtisserie Duquette of Sherbrooke is warning
people who are allergic to milk not to consume Molasses
Cookies (Biscuits a la mélasse) because the product label
does not list milk as an ingredient.
Pâtisserie Duquette is recalling
123 packages of the product which are sold in 350 g packages and which bear the UPC Code 0 66333
00287 6 (all lots), because the undeclared milk in the
product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in
persons allergic to milk.
The Molasses Cookies were distributed by Patisserie Duquette,in Québec, particularly
in the Eastern Township.
There have not been any illnesses reported to date.
Consumers can return the product to the point of purchase.
