Volailles Grenville Inc fined $8,000 for falsifying dates

Volailles Grenville Inc of Grenville, Quebec has pleaded guilty to one charge of violating subsection 94(7) of the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

The regulations stipulate that a registered establishment must not create a false or misleading impression as to the date of production or manufacture of any meat product.

On February 16, 2005, at the St Jérôme Court House, Judge Hugues St-Germain of the Quebec Court sentenced the company to pay a fine of $8,000 plus costs.
