Drugs and Organized Crime focus on providing policy and program support for combatting organized crime as well as drug related social and economic harm to Canadians. This area works to aid RCMP membership to reduce the supply of and demand for illicit products using an integrated approach involving measures for prevention, education, enforcement, counselling, treatment and rehabilitation. The Drug Branch and the Organized Crime Branch provide input into Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada for the preparation of the Minister’s annual report on the RCMP’s use of the Law Enforcement Provisions of Bill C-24.
