Labour Relations and Human Rights

Labour Relations and Human Rights Directorate is responsible for:

Labour Relations
Develops, maintains and fosters a positive and constructive relationship between Management and employees and their representatives through the delivery of Labour Relations Programs for Public Service Employees.

Harassment
Assumes the responsibility for the development, interpretation and application of the departmental Policy on the Prevention and Resolution of Harassment in the Workplace. Also responsible for providing services to various clients and liaising with internal and external stakeholders and developing training to be delivered by the Regional Harassment Coordinators.

Human Rights
In compliance with legislation, regulations and policies, directs the human rights complaints process for the RCMP. Labour Relations and Human Rights Directorate ensures that all issues related to human rights are addressed by the RCMP and represents the RCMP at the various stages of the complaint process established by the Canadian Human Rights Commission.
