Youth Criminal Justice Act Learning Materials have been prepared
with the knowledge that members will receive policy directives from the
government departments responsible for policing and youth justice in each
province or territory. Direction will also come from Crown Attorneys in
specific cases.
The information in the Learning Materials, therefore, is for the most
part generic and should apply in all jurisdictions. Some jurisdictions
may provide more specific direction and guidance to police. The Learning
Materials therefore must be read in the context of all policies and directives
received from the province or territory.
