Protective Operations

The RCMP is federally mandated to provide reciprocal protection to over 103 consulates in the GTA area. This is accomplished through a combination of uniformed and plain clothes enforcement strategies. The VIP Security Section provides protection to Canadian senior Government officials and dignitaries as well as International Heads of State, Internationally Protected Persons and a variety of dignitaries and Royalty while visiting the GTA District.
