Report by the Government of Canada to the UN Commission on Human Rights Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women
(December 1998) This report is the Government of Canada's response to the request by the Special Rapporteur on Violence Against Women to report on national strategies adopted since 1994 to combat violence against women, provide information and copies of official statistics compiled, and describe training programs for the police, prosecutors and the judiciary, and other programs to prevent violence, as well as support services for victims.
