Gypsy Moth - Newfoundland and Labrador

This map shows gypsy moth survey sites in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2004. Just over 320 delta traps were deployed in areas that were identified as locations that posed a high risk of possible introduction, such as campgrounds, recreational sites, tourist chalets and wooded areas frequented by visitors. Most survey sites were near the towns of Port-aux-Basques, Corner Brook, Gander, and St. John's. Tow males were captured in two traps in the city of St. John’s.
