This map shows the 2004 Japanese Beetle survey sites in the Halifax area. In Halifax, 284 traps were placed, resulting in 557 beetles captured during the survey. Cornwallis Park 31 beetles were captured; 1 beetle captured in the Public Gardens. The highest captures were in an area about 7 km northwest of Cornwallis Park where 257 beetles were captured at Mount St. Vincent University . High captures were also recorded in the area around Basin View where 168 beetles were captured.
