Chief of Research
The Hospital for Sick Children 

Dr. Janet Rossant is a University Professor in the Department of Medical Genetics and Microbiology at the University of Toronto and Chief of Research at The Hospital for Sick Children. A recognized world leader in mammalian developmental biology and genetics, she has received numerous prestigious awards for her contributions to the health sciences, including a 2004 Killam Prize, the National Cancer Institute of Canada's Eli Lilly Robert L. Noble Prize, and the Royal Society of Canada's McLaughlin Medal. She trained at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford and is a Fellow of the Royal Societies of both Canada and the U. K.
