Overview of CIHR's funding opportunity process

• Access to all of CIHR's funding opportunities that are currently open for application can be found below.
• Once the application date has passed, opportunities are moved to our archives.

Methods to view funding opportunities

• By Master List - a complete list of all current opportunities, regardless of their program category or which unit of CIHR is sponsoring the opportunity.
• By Program Category - a filtered list which only shows current opportunities for a particular program category.
• By Research Area - another filtered list which only shows current opportunities sponsored by a particular unit of CIHR.
• On all lists, opportunities are sorted alphabetically.

Other sources of funding

• Additional sources of funding may also be available from external organizations.

Trouble finding a specific opportunity?

• If you know the program category or research area you wish to apply to, then these filtered lists may help you narrow your search.
• Alternatively, if you are unsure of the program category or research area, then the Master List should be used.
• If the deadline date has passed, then the opportunity may have been moved to the archives.
• Due to changes implemented in June 2006, the name of a particular funding opportunity may have changed. If you cannot find a particular opportunity under the new naming convention, or if you have any questions, please contact info@cihr-irsc.gc.ca.
