Applying for Workshop/Symposia Support

An important part of CIHR's mandate is to translate knowledge into improved health for Canadians. Knowledge translation (KT) is the exchange, synthesis and ethically-sound application of knowledge - within a complex system of interactions among researchers and users - to accelerate the capture of the benefits of research for Canadians through improved health, more effective services and products, and a strengthened health care system.

The CIHR KT Branch will provide partial support for workshops and symposia, which either support KT research or contribute to building networks. We will normally contribute $5,000 to $10,000 towards the funding of Workshops and Symposia, respectively.

In order to apply, applicants should use the following application form [ PDF (92.5 KB) | PDF (100 KB, fillable) | Help ]. Please consult the application guide for further information on how to apply to the program.

Please note that some changes were made to the KT Workshop and Symposia program.

Applications are accepted three times per year (Sept 1, Jan 1, May 1) and must be sent before the competition closing date.
