The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has launched a project to identify spin-off companies that were founded by CIHR funded researchers at Canadian universities and research hospitals. CIHR University Delegates, as well as technology transfer or university-industry liaison offices, have been provided with a spreadsheet tailored to their institution to validate information on these spin-off companies and identify any missing spin-off companies. We hope to have a list of spin-off companies founded by researchers that have received support from CIHR compiled by September 1st, 2006.
We are requesting that you identify the commercialization activities (spin-off companies, licenses, companies formed by graduate students) at your institution which can be attributed to CIHR funding.
