Advance Payments Program
The Advance Payments Program provides cash advances to agricultural producers so that they can store certain crops after harvest until market conditions allow them to sell the crops at a profitable price.

Eligibility Information
Producers must meet the following requirements:
- be Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- be a corporation or cooperative whose majority of voting shares are held by Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- be a cooperative whose majority of members are Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- be a partnership or other association of persons whose partners or members, who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, are entitled to at least 50% of the profits
- own one or more field crops, or a portion of one or more field crops that are grown in Canada, either cultivated or uncultivated, and stored in a non-processed form
- be producers of maple syrup or honey produced in Canada or of any other agricultural product designated by the governor-in-council
- other criteria may apply
