Summary of Changes

Return to the General Index

CIHR announces the launch of the 2006-2007 Grants and Awards Guide. The following table is a synopsis of the changes.

Effective September 15, 2006
Section & Subsection(s) Nature of Changes
General

Effective September 15, 2006, CIHR will no longer incorporate information contained in the Tri-Agency (CIHR, NSERC & SSHRC) Financial Guide into its Grants and Awards Guide. As a result, Sections 5 and 6 of the CIHR Grants and Award Guide have been deleted.

Any information previously contained in Section 5 that is not covered in the Tri-Agency Financial Guide has been moved to Section 2, 3 or 4.

Section 6 provided a link to the Tri-Agency (CIHR, NSERC & SSHRC) Financial Guide; this document is now accessible via "Section 3: CIHR Guidelines for Grant Programs".

These changes will prevent discrepancies between the two documents, and deliver more consistent and coherent messages to the institutions that administer funds from federal granting agencies.
