CIHR was fortunate to have Drs. Louise Nadeau and David Naylor-members of CIHR's Governing Council-act as Masters of Ceremonies for our inaugural event. Well known to the health research community, they brought a sense of vibrancy and excitement to the evening. Dr. Louise Nadeau, a Professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal, is no newcomer to the stage and put the recipients and crowd at ease with her warm smile and inviting dispostion. Dr. David Naylor, Dean of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Medicine, put his weighty responsibilities aside for the evening and created great synergy with his Montreal colleague.
