First Nations & Inuit Health

Funding

The Government of Canada works with First Nations on reserve and Inuit in the north to ensure the availability of, or access to, health services.

Health Canada works with First Nations and Inuit communities to transfer control of these health programs, within a time frame determined with them.

A top priority for us is to make sure the public funds used for these programs are spent in a good manner so that health care is available now and in the future.
