The purpose of this RFP is to engage the services of a team of research consultants/contractor(s) to describe the current status of population-based health and health services databases in Canada that are being used and show the potential for use in innovative and important health research. This endeavor will be a great opportunity to partner with other researchers and stakeholder partners, and put interested parties in touch with each other. To this end, a teleconference will be organized in order to foster collaboration among interested applicants as well as to discuss the intent of the initiative and to answer questions. Researchers are encouraged to bear in mind that publications of the outcomes of this research project will be actively encouraged and supported by the sponsoring agencies.
Our plan is to contract for four deliverables. Consultants are invited to bid on part or all of the four-part scope of work.
Part I: Conceptual Framework and Taxonomy of Population-Based Health and Health Service Research Databases and/or Repositories in Canada
Part II: Key Issues and Challenges to Enhancing Access and Use of Population-Based Health and Health Service Research Databases in Canada
