Annual New Principal Investigators Meeting
Jackson's Point, ON
Roderick McInnes and Philip Branton, Scientific Directors of the CIHR Institute of Genetics and of the Institute of Cancer Research, respectively, are pleased to announce the 3rd Annual New Principal Investigators Meeting. This meeting is for new faculty (in their first four years) at Canadian universities, including new scientists and clinician scientists in the genetics and biochemistry, developmental biology, bioinformatics, cell biology, health policy and ethics communities. The primary objectives of this initiative are to establish peer networks, enhance the mentorship of new investigators, and strengthen their opportunities for scientific collaborations. The Canadian Chapter of Batten Disease Support and Research Association (BDSRA) is pleased to announce that limited funds are available to promote research and/or assist in a viable research project/s for, but not limited to, development of novel therapeutic approaches to treatment for Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (NCL), development of new or novel animal systems for researching and understanding the pathogenic mechanisms of NCL, and development of treatments that will alleviate the symptoms of Batten Disease, and other projects that further the understanding of NCL.
