The DEA is the American federal enforcement agency that deals specifically with the control of drugs and substances.

NIDA is an American government agency that supports research on drug abuse and addiction, and ensures the rapid and effective transfer of scientific data to policy makers, drug abuse practitioners, other health care practitioners and the general public.
