Notifiable Diseases On-Line is a web based application developed by the
Centre for Infectious Disease Prevention and Control of the Public Health Agency of Canada to
enhance dissemination of surveillance data collected on notifiable
diseases in Canada.
The application contains information on the number of cases reported
for several of the notifiable diseases as well as their rate in the population.
The data are available for each province and territory for each year starting
at 1989 up to the end of 2004.
(For 1999, Northwest Territories and Nunavut data
have been combined).
Please note:
-
The 2003 and 2004 data are preliminary and are subject to change.
-
The following data is not available at the present time:
- Saskatchewan 2003 (except Gonococcal
Infections, Chlamydia and all Syphilis) and all 2004 data;
- Nunavut all 2004 data;
- Tuberculosis data for 2003 and 2004;
- Hepatitis C 2004 data for Nova-Scotia.
The rates are based on reporting provinces and territories only.
-
The interactive table, chart and mapping functions are
not enabled for some of the notifiable diseases because of none or few
cases reported. These data and some related information can be accessed
