Joint Force Operations

Integrated Proceeds of Crime (IPOC)

This section is responsible for identifying and restraining illicit wealth and the investigation of money laundering activities. The London IPOC is based in London, ON with satellites in the Kingston and Hamilton/Niagara Regional Detachments and includes officers from the Ontario Provincial Police and the London Police Service. The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) IPOC is based in Newmarket, ON and includes members from the Toronto and Peel Regional police services. Each team also includes lawyers, forensic accountants, tax investigators and customs officers from federal partner agencies.

DispatchIntegrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET)

Strategically based in locations across the country, these teams collect, share and analyze intelligence on investigations that concern threats to national security and criminal extremism/terrorism. Duties include intelligence and counter-terrorism in concert with other RCMP, domestic and foreign agencies, diplomatic and parliamentary communities and the public. INSETs are made up of representatives of the RCMP, federal partners and agencies such as Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC), Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and provincial and municipal police services. Integrated Market Enforcement Team (IMET)

The Greater Toronto Area is home to three IMETs tasked with detecting, investigating and deterring capital markets fraud by focusing resources on the investigation and prosecution of the most serious market-related crimes. Working in concert with the Commercial Crime Section, the teams are jointly managed by the RCMP, Justice Canada and partner departments and agencies, and work closely with securities regulators and other federal and provincial authorities. CFSEU logoCombined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU)

The GTA CFSEU is a joint-force operation tasked with the mandate to expose, investigate, prosecute, dismantle, and disrupt organized criminal enterprises. The Unit also works closely with other organized crime enforcement units at the national and international levels. Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET)

There are 15 teams across the country with four based in Ontario. These teams are joint-force law enforcement bodies harmonizing Canadian and U.S. efforts to target cross-border criminal activity and a need to enhance border integrity. The “O” Division based teams are based out of detachments in Kingston, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay, Windsor and Hamilton/Niagara. RCMP SimmondsMarine Security Enforcement Team

An RCMP joint initiative with the Canadian Coast Guard, Ontario Provincial Police, Niagara Regional Police Service and the Toronto Police Service to patrol the Great Lakes to enforce laws relating to national security, organized crime and other federal statutes. The “O” Division MSETs consist of two vessels – CCGC Cape Hurd and the RCMP Simmonds – staffed with four Canadian Coast Guard employees and two police officers on each of the vessels.
